Gospel lyrics lend themselves to every genre of music I can think of...in this case I can't imagine this story from Jesus being told in any other style (but that's just me)...as with all my posts this song has been around for awhile...aged to perfection smile...aged anyway...can't say much more...it tells it's own story...so, if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

Dan,

When I hit play, I immediately though of Dallas Holm! It's been many years since I've heard him, but this sounds so much like his vocal work and the type of tune he would do! What a great vocal performance here! I feel that backtrack you put together is the perfect vehicle for the message here! I love that Genos that you are working with. I've always wanted one of those but never felt that my skill level justified the purchase of one, so I settled for a PSR model instead. You sure do make it sound great though. Keep on rockin' for the Rock that don't roll!

Thanks, Torrey
Hello Dan
Nice song
Great played
Your singing is really excellent
Makes much joy to hear
Many greetings
Andi ;-)
Loved that intro. Yes, a wonderful rocker with a strong message. You know I'm a fan of your vocals, Dan, but this one has something special to it. Creative changes and excellent use of the ooze and oz. Great mix as usual. You house this mansion on solid rock.

Torrey...you keep comparing me to my favorite artists...I was looking at some of the old vinyl I have a couple of days ago and a couple of them are Dallas Holm projects...I'm a huge fan and am humbled by any comparison...thanks for your gracious comments...yeah, I love the Genos, before BiaB it was my major source of tracks...though I must tell you the piano on this is not the Genos, it's a Roland FP10 (an entry level piano that has a killer sound IMO)...hope you know how much I value your opinions and more than respect you as a fellow faith-based writer/composer...best regards...Dan

I completely agree with Marty

Great groove, super vocal, outstanding message

An outstanding backing band

Two big thumbs up
This is a really cool song. I love this style of music. Really cool groove. Super vocal and lyric. This one would get the toes tapping and hands clapping. Really well done...
Dan,

Good write. Really nice vocals. Good tracks. Well mixed.

Well done all around.

I'm not familiar with the artists that you and Torrey discuss - but I could hear the Gatlin Bros doing this one (your vocal brings Larry to mind).

Thanks Floyd...I always appreciate your comments and value them...I love the Gatlin's (actually Dallas Holm is from the part of Texas that the Gatlin's are from...in fact their sister LaDonna (Gatlin) Johnson sang in Dallas Holm's band (Praise) for a period of time in the '70s...in contemporary Christian music they were pioneers.
A musically captivating rocker.

Lyrics are written quite well, getting the message across without being preachy.

Excellent vocal.

Scott...thanks for your comments...yeah...not trying to be preachy.
You can’t go wrong with a swing/shuffle in our book! This blues gospel works great.

Our mothers would’ve loved this song, both the performance and the message, as they often reminded us of the hardships they had endured and how much solace their faith provided.

Excellent band, vocals and mix. Love that resonator guitar.

Well done!

J&B
The vocal, & reverb on it, is SPOT ON for the style and theme.
