Hi all. It's been a while.
Here is my latest effort. Dark Days was supposed to be about
the state of our planet, but I couldn't help myself and turned it into
a love song instead. The howling was done by my 10-year-old son Jake.
I will put a link to the youtube video as well.
Hope you are all doing well. All comments welcome.

Dark Days Youtube

Dark days are coming, I feel it in my bones.
Oh Yes, those dark days are coming, I really should be should be heading home.
Since I don't have you with me, I'll have to face those dark days all alone.

Bridge

Since you went away that flea-bitten stray has just been howling.
Please take my dark days away, if you come back to stay with me.

Dark clouds are forming I feel it in my bones.
Oh, those dark clouds are forming, I really shoud be should be heading home.
Since I don't have you with me, I'll have to face those dark days all alone.

Since you went away that flea-bitten stray has just been howling.
You'll take my dark days away if you come back to stay with me.

Fine blues, Bob. Love the dancing skeleton. Perfect band for that country blues feel. I'd say you DID write about the state of the planet. Love the Elvis you invoke, too.
Love the dobro, the howling, and the echo vocals!
Very nice. Loved the simplicity of the instrumentation. It really worked well with the song, and I really liked your mix. It's also pretty neat that you were able to add a contribution from your son as well!
Fun and great-sounding track Rob!!! Love how BIG the drum sound is! Always love your vocals!! Take care. Greg
Howlin' Jake Stanley...did a fine job.
I really enjoyed this Rob. I started with the vid bt finished with the audio as I was distracted by the details of the vid...silly things I do like trying to work out the railway station etc.
A very cool song that suits the title and could easily be a metaphor for the state of the world.
Your vocal production is really good.
Rob,

The first thing that strikes me beyond that great lead vocal are those killer BGVs—what a nice full effect you’ve produced with them. Slick guitar solo. And if I ever need a howler for a tune, I hope Jake is ready and willing—nailed it! Very, very cool!

All my best to you,

Deej
Catchy song with strong rhythm which supports perfectly the 'dark' message of our times, I can really feel it in my bones. Great haunting vocals mixed extremely well.

Janne

Thank you Babu. Always look forward to your answers.

Rob, blues at its best

Great vocal and harmonies

Super slide guitar

The perfect backing band

The perfect "howler"

Two thumbs up
Rob

This is a most enjoyable blues song!
A shuffle is always right square in our wheelhouse smile

Jake’s howl was so cool.

Nice sparse "all you need" band, a fine mix and, of course, vocals.

Cool video too!

J&B
Thanks for your comment Dewey.

Rob,

Great lyrics that fit the genre and feel of the song! Love these blues tunes that let the instrument breaks have their time in the spotlight! Great vocal, background vox and song! You did a super job arranging it all!

Thanks, Torrey
Hey there Brad.

I've said it several times before (a couple of years ago): You sure have that Elvis sound!

Once again it works great here, with a very nice video to go with it.

Great job Rob,
And I too hear a bit of Elvis.

It's also neat you don't have any skeletons in your closet . . . they're all out dancing wink
Hello Bass Thumber.
Thanks for your comments.

Man, that was really choice! Vocals were ace which I've come to expect and the BT was dripping with blues. Excellent work.
