Here Comes My Girl A little old pop song (that's been sitting on the Hard Drive for years) I was playing around adding a video to (youtube video only just over 2min). So essentially a video exercise but the song is a bit catchy (I think).
Leon - Lyric and Vocal
I added some guitar and keyboard.
The Band -
Lost in time but I think these midi tracks are included:
Bass & Lead (88), Pad-Sweep (96),Echo Sweep (103).
Other tracks Band in a Box except the guitar solos and the keyboard bit.
Lyrics
Pretty self explanatory (I don't have a copy to hand!).
Hi Peter and Leon
Cool song
Fits everything well together
The sound of the synth is really good
In connection with the nice video a great experience
Very well done
Many greetings
Andi ;-)
Hi Peter and Leon,
Interesting concept. A different, modern, and catchy sound.
Looks like there's a little glitch around 0:04? Also, some of the drum brakes don't work out so well. You may want to keep the drums slightly more "static" here.
All in all well done. Excellent vocals, and as always cool lead guitar.
Rob
Very nice early 80's synth pop vibe, my favorite era, and positively reminds me of Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. Strong rhythm and definitely catchy melody. Synths sound authentic and the guitar adds a modern touch. Lovely video supports the charming lyrics.

cool pop song. I like to browse my old work in progress folders from time to time but I haven't found any such gems yet. Good job.

Hi Peter and Leon,
Very catchy indeed! Great groove and fun lyrics. Love the wha guitar, Peter, and the video was well done also.
Nice!
Hi Peter.
This is catchy.
The video fits too.
Vic
Not sure if I completely get the song (I only understand parts of the lyrics), but that's a really catchy song, and the guitar is really cool.
I like it!
And I think the video works very well for this song.
Definitely has an early Eurythmics feels.
The guitar parts are ace.
My 1st impression was that Leon's voice should be heavily processed to give it an 80s feel.
Cool.
Peter,
Love the music mix . . . really cool 80’s sounds—great beat and vibe. From a production standpoint, I’m not sure the vocal fits in the mix ideally, and early on in the song it felt rushed on a couple of lines. Maybe just a little EQ’ing and playing with the effects might get it to sit better . . . dunno. And then again, listen to what others have to say . . . lord knows, it may be just fine as is. Cool tune!
Best regards,
Deej

Thanks Rob - those pesky stock video players refuse to play in time!

Peter and Leon,
The video that came up surprised me because I have never seen any video productions from you before, but you guys did a great job with both the video and audio! It is a catchy tune. Enjoyed it!
Thanks, Torrey
Peter & Leon, this is a fun beat that makes me move. You guys surround yourself with a great band and then cap it off with that WOW solo. I'vewatched the video 3 times so far. It's good, yeah, but that song is the real draw. You are correct: It is VERY catchy.
EDIT: Oh, wait. That was not meant to infer the video wasn't good. It was really good and had a lot of hooks to it too. Where did you find the clips?
Nice melody, very catchy as you said. It's a different style of music than I play, so this may have been intentional, but there seemed to be some hiccups with the drums here and there and the lyrics seemed a little rushed in places. I wasn't expecting the wah guitar and it was a nice surprise. I think it sounded really good, for what it's worth.
Hey Peter,
This is a lot of fun!! Really cool video too!!
Hey it seems like you did a few changes to this since your last version:

'remember girls can be trouble' lol.
Leon and Peter this is fantastic.
Great 80's synth pop sound.
Super vocal, guitar licks, and keyboard all mixed to perfection.
Two thumbs up
cool pop song. I like to browse my old work in progress folders from time to time but I haven't found any such gems yet. Good job.

Hi Peter.
This is catchy.
The video fits too.
Vic
Thanks Vic.
Peter
Upbeat, bouncy, very good track. Guitar blends well. The vocals seemed a bit too upfront (to my ears), but still worth the listen.
It is certainly a fun “little old pop song” and we’re glad you revived it.
You and Leon and the band are in the groove. We love the guitar (of course!)
The video is cool and we love the way the girl with the auburn colored hair sashays when she walks.
Most enjoyable!
J&B
Fun and nicely done guys.
If you should do another similar one in the future, I would heavily process adding some cool vocal fx (as Ray suggested) to really bring home the 80s vibe.
Josie
So glad you were able to blow the dust of this tune Peter. Very cool hook to the song. Loved the wah. Super vocal from Leon. Excellent video
Really well done.

Thanks Ray I was more focused on the video than the audio, but that would be an interesting change.

Thanks Deej - was a pretty old mix I resurrected for the video so you are probably right. I think there is an updated set of lyrics somewhere (it's not one of Leon's favourite lyrics - it was written a long time ago).
This is a gem. Catchy and well-produced. Your guitar work is standout!
Peter / Leon,
Wow! This really gets stuck in your head! I really enjoyed this one - very nice job.
Bob
Peter & Leon,
A VERY nicely done video.
A VERY catchy song. Good Pop theme and sound.
A fitting production and a good mix.
Above all... a most enjoyable listen (and watch)...

Peter & Leon,
Great fun! A worthy revival of a very catchy song... love that wah guitar and the video reminds me of when music videos were easy on the eyes.

I think Ray pretty much nailed. Can't argue with anything he said. Nicely done, mates!
