Hey guys...I just finished remastering this older song of mine...the new cut is a mix of my Yamaha Genos and BiaB...it's what I'd call a building ballad...it starts soft but builds to the soaring strings in the interlude..so if you do...thanks for listening.

You've Always Been There
https://soundclick.com/r/s360w3

BiaB Components: DRMYPOP.STY Country Pop w/ Dreamy Fills
366 Bass
364 Acoustic Fingerpicking Guitar
368 Acoustic Strumming Guitar
2650 Electric Guitar
Real drums=Nashville Evens 8

I added: Vocals, piano, strings, keyboard acoustic guitar

Dan,

Your blend of BIAB and your keyboard really flows together well! It's a lovely tune the expresses the feelings of many listeners! I have made several comparisons in the past of singers you reminded me of. This time I am reminded of Elvis doing gospel! Your voice is certainly of such a high caliber that it's not out of line to make that comment! Man, you nailed it on this one!

Thanks, Torrey

Man, you really are a master at coming up with strong melodies, professional song structures, and great vocals, every time!

The string/orchestral breaks work extremely well and enhance the emotion of the song.

Hi Dan ...

What a gorgeous song! And you already know how much I enjoy your vocals. A very nice, gentle mix. Really nice done in all respects.
The b/g vocals are perfectly done.

Nicely done! Reminiscent of the Maverick's hit - I should have been true.

Fantastic production Dan. I agree with everything Torrey had to say. The mix of your stuff with Biab is perfect, but I suppose what I like the most is how this production really allows your voice to shine. Simply great.

Loved this Dan. Super vocal and lyric. Loved the energy build in the song. Loved how the piano gently came into the song. Well done

Hey guys...my sincere thanks for all of the comments so far:

Torrey: Thanks again for your comparison...Elvis...huh?...but did you hear The Jordanaires in the background?

Rob: As a major fan of your arrangements, your comments are so kind and appreciated.

Andi: Your comments are always so encouraging...thanks.

Alan: Thanks so much...you evidentially did hear The Jordanaires...cool!

Dewey: I listened to the Maverick's song...wow!...thanks for the comparison.

Brad: I really appreciate your thoughts...I hope the message was clear.

Scott: I always value your opinion...You are a master musician and your thoughts about the arrangement is always valued.

Dan,

Nice!
A good write.
Really nice production.
Strong vocals.
Solid mix.
All the boxes checked.

(it DOES sound like a song that Elvis might have done)

I'm always surprised at the length of your songs (often close to 5 minutes) and, yet, they do not seem "too long"...

Well done.

Floyd...thanks for your thoughts...I've been accused of writing songs that would never be played on radio because of their length...even by co-writers and often by critiques...I guess they are what they are (the songs I mean)...I think I finish them when they're done...I really appreciate that comment though...but I admit sometimes I go on too long...thanks again...Dan

This is a lovely ballad and has a good combo of BiaB and your performances.
The piano especially sounds nice!

We get both the Mavericks and the gospel Elvis (post Blackwood Brothers period) production comparisons and they are both good.

Stellar vocals, as expected. smile

Another fine production!

As soon as this started I thought of the gospel Elvis record that I have.

This an outstanding and professional sounding song.
Outstanding vocal and some very inspiring lyrics.
Outstanding backing band and mix.
