Hi Folks.
This is a short one.  Before coming to BIAB world I utilized MIDI for most of my tunes, so this was a good exercise. Initial arrangement is still done on BIAB including a couple of RTs. All comments are welcomed and thank you for giving this time.

TV Show

Brave and confident radio prophets
A salesman with voice of a squeaky shopping cart
Ohh no I don't need your magic paper crown
I am a voodoo doll with needle sticking out from my heart

You...are a victim of concessions.
Private life on camera tear-milking TV show.

Raging riots, liquid diets,
failed experiments, forest fires.
Silent walls of a closed asylum
New forms of art
No, no, no I don't need your invitation
I am a voodoo doll with needle sticking out from my heart

You...are a victim of obsessions
Private life on camera, inducing laughter TV show.

Misha,

Now that's one funky vibe you have going on with this one . . . the mix sounds great to me--crisp and vibrant. Love your BGVs on this; perfectly layered in. Cool stuff!

All my best to you,

Deej

Reggae dystopia.
Excellent words, melody & music.
Brief but effective for that.

Yeah - what Ray said! Those drums are outrageously splendid!!!

You are one of the most creative people on this forum. Never a disappointment when i click onto one of your songs. Excellent!

Man, you are one of my favorite lyricist, Misha. I could've quoted the whole song, but the opening lines grab the listeners so well, and the whole story needs to be repeated several times and each one the meaning can be somewhat different. Brilliant. Your vocals are so expressive and the mix is always filled with so many interesting twists and additions. Everything in there begs for replay. Music moguls like that.

Very creative indeed with a slight reggae feel.
Much enjoyable.

You and RKC are the poets of the forum, always delivering great, thought-provoking lyrics. Yeah, this was short but it made its point. Well done.

Hi Misha

My only quibble is that it is, as you say, a short one. Was enjoying it very much and would have been quite happy for it to keep going. Great groove and mix. While I don't normally like to play favourites, I'm compelled to say you're my favourite lyricist on this forum. Your wordplay is never less than inventive and frequently surprising. Great work.

Leon

Ray said it well: “reggae dystopia.” smile

Your description of reality tv is downright elegant, Misha.

All is super: lyric, band, vocals, mix. It has a really big sound but with sparse instrumentation.
How you do that is remarkable.

And also remarkable is how you can write lyrics for which there is NEVER. A. SINGLE. WEAK. LINE!

Way cool!

Misha,
I could dance to that... because the lyrics feed the mind as the feet bounce.
Very skilful production and, of course, the Rustyspoon vibe to captivate.
Cool, very cool!

I'm liking your music more and more. You just keep getting better with each new tune.

Late night TV commercials.... who'd have thought to write about it.....?

BUT WAIT!!!!! THERE"S MORE!!!!

Nice solid mix. Your vocals fit perfectly and the island groove works well.

Nicely done!

Scary description of the crazy TV world. Very creative modern reggae feel, excellent instrumentation and nice spacious mix. The minor oriented chording is very enjoyable. Hit material of the 80's (in the footsteps of The Specials).

What Floyd said!

I can't believe this one almost slipped by me. I'm glad I didn't miss it.

I like the way you sing "You" in the chorus.

Another exceptional set of lyrics---The World According to Misha! eek
