Clavè rhythm/Bo Diddley beat - 12/09/23 01:23 AM
Entering in "Bo Diddley", "Magic Bus", "Not Fade Away", etc., doesn't give much of a selection of 3-3-2 rhythms. This is a common feel among blues/rock, and we could also use this clavè-type rhythm for a funk/16t note rhythm, as well. The New Orleans funk feel is missing a good helping of The Meters' "Cissy Strut", "Funky Miracle", "Hey Pocky A-Way", as well as various James Brown grooves. Funk-shuffle with a 3-3-2 emphasis. Funk rhythms and grooves are such a big part of modern pop styles, hip-hop grooves, reggae, etc.
