How's about some Victor Sylvester styles ? He was a master at ballroom dancing and I'm sure a few of us oldies would LOVE to have his kind of backing available to us. In particular the piano backing on this recording is something that would be amazing to have at our disposal

And this one

Max Bygraves also had this kind of piano style in his backing, and it really adds to the listening pleasure

Victor Sylvester!
That's going back a bit, I remember in the days of 2 TV channels, the old Come Dancing with Peter West as MC, the Victor Sylvester Orchestra had a fairly regular gig.
One of my enduring memories of the show was the typical snippets of trivia about the dancers; "John is a sheet metal worker from Bolton, and Janet and her mum sewed all 3,000 sequins on her dress by hand."

Thanks for the memories,
Vintage
