Tejano, Mariachi, Norteno, Cumbias..... Style selections really lack the Mexican flavor. Is anybody actually well versed enough in Mexican music to do these? Like Flaco Jimenez in his days with Texas Tornadoes. And Latin in general is under represented. Bachata, Merengue, and anything Latin. Samba and Bossa Nova are fairly well represented, but that whole TexMex thing is kind of missing.

A great suggestion.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the latest recordings were done in Nashville, and you can see that Country, Folk, and Blues are pretty well represented from that. Perhaps it's time to head straight South from there to Yucatan.

Or maybe West to Monterrey if TexMex is the missing flavor.
