I’m looking for that classic, traditional country style exemplified in the songs of Don Williams. A couple of styles get close (_QUAG and _CBALDR recommended in Style Picker), but they don’t have that basic Nashville sound, especially drums and bass. I’m using BIAB 2020, with several of the extra style packs and still searching for that particular definitive, laid-back rhythm style. Someone called it a “half-time” style, whatever that means. Anyway, you can clearly hear it in the following songs from his LP’s (not the live videos). Lord, I hope This Day Is Good, Some Broken Hearts Never Mend, Turn Out the Light and Love Me Tonight, and I’ve Been Loved By the Best. I would request that the programmers provide several variations of such a style in future upgrades.
