A BIG +1

+1 for Oriental instrument RealTracks. Perhaps PG Music could create a RealTracks set based on Oriental instruments.

As a side note, many movies and games use Oriental instruments so those users making tracks for sound libraries, movies or games should find these instruments useful.

Western music forms, piano, guitar, bass and flute pipa, will produce great feelings. grin

Another vote of support for more of these styles.

+1
Dizi, guzheng and pipa are enough to add some.

You could make them up in RapidComposer, I made a UserTrack Flute up,
the UserTrack was not playing the A B correctly so I made it into a "Drum"
Flute Classical Pop Soloist 12 Key Maj/m Scale 70-140bpm

Update here

The amplesound drum is FREE
I think I heard a Koto in Sound2.mp3. Love that sound. I don't know if there is a comparable sound for a Chinese instrument, but I know a terrific Japanese jazz Koto player, Yutaka.

That MP3 also had what sounded like a tabla doing the rhythm. I don't know anything about Chinese rhythm instruments. Is there one that sounds like a tabla?

Anyway, +1 for the original request.

These instruments cannot be replaced by MIDI.
It just reflects the value of BIAB REALTRACKS.
The most important thing is that there are many East Asia, if BIAB adds these elements, more people will choose BAND IN A BOX

That should be the sound of Chinese pipa

Ah, very good. Thanks for that info.
Hi Swingbabymix et al,

Thanks for this post! For this past release, we took some inspiration from this post and recorded an erhu RealTrack. And, the plan is to add some more erhu as well as different instruments this year as well, including more Chinese-based instruments, but possibly other world instruments as well. So, if people have other suggestions in this vein, this forum thread would be a good place for them, particularly if they included youtube links. Also in particular, hearing these types of instruments in the context of pop music would be helpful, since that was referenced in the original post that started the thread.

Here is a demo of a RealStyle that used the new Erhu RealTrack that we released this past December: http://demos.pgmusic.com/audio/allstyledemos2/_SPIKE.m4a
