A more thorough explanation of what you are looking to do may help. Cycling doesn't mean a lot to me.

I assume you mean looping? If so unfold your song and add the measures you wanted to loop into said song. I do this all of the time. When I start a song in BiaB I always use one chorus, not the three that is there at the start.

I’m guessing that one long song may not do it here. BIAB will generate a solo over all the measures. If the point is to play along with a solo in just one of the choruses, to learn it, then I suggest making a recording of the song.

If you want to stay within BIAB, then be sure to Freeze the Soloist track. Then right-click at the first measure of the solo and select Play from this measure in Chorus 2 (or words to that effect - I’m not at my PC.

ah great. thanks!
I didn't know about this 'unfolding' business!!
that must be the way to do it!

Yes, I meant looping..

I have frozen the solo - hope it stays when 'unfolded', if not, no worries.

Glad I learned about unfolding.

I don't use repeats or DC al anything. If the song is 256 bars, I write out the full 256 bars. No unfolding necessary.
