Hello all.

I've done a search, and read P Warren's WIKI, but can't find an answer.
Is anyone actually using the Ketron SD2 in a live situation, and if so, is it an easy thing to set up and use? I am very impressed with the sounds on their website, and it would really save me a lot of work.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob, IIRC Mac uses one. Hopefully, he will weigh in.

FYI, Ketron just released a new model one, the SD1000.
According to Ketron, it is a professional sound module with an interesting effects section.
You may have a look to the Ketron website.

Thanks for the heads-up, John-Luke. I can't seem to find anyone who is actually selling them over here in the US.

Mac is or was a dealer for them. I would PM him.

Bob,
I've had an SD2 for a few years now, and I'm very, very happy with it.
The sounds that it produces are excellent. Although I'm mainly a play at homer, I have used it in a live situation, at it performed well.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Keith.

I am no longer associated with Ketron sales.

That said, I still use my little Ketron SD2 quite a lot, in studio and live, as well as the larger SD4, which is like having two SD2s in one box, with ability to switch inputs or have one side playback what the computer sends to it and the other side dedicated to the instrument I'm playing at the time.

The SD2 is plenty enough good sounds IMO.

And fits in yer pocket as well.

Thanks for the info Mac. Hopefully, there will be a few for sale used after the SD1000 is out and everyone rushes to get one.

Bob
