What I want to do is create a custom band/combo, with specific real drums and real tracks to use as a starting template. How do I do that?

I'm not positive what you are asking either, so I'll give it a start but feel free to come back if I'm on the wrong track.

I'm assuming you have BIAB. You can load a style that's close to what you want and then change individual tracks within it (even all of them) and save that style under a new name you choose (including Template). You could then start a new song, load that Template style, rename the song (so you don't overwrite the template), and proceed. If that is what you are looking to do, I can go into the commands to do so. If not, let us know.
