I haven't tried this particular program but have looked at and used similar programs. The main idea is you can visually analyze your tracks as you see frequency and time as well as amplitude all in one view.

If your mix sounds muddy you view the frequency content of individual tracks then can have an idea of what tracks and frequencies are clashing. Sometimes you'll find a subsonic frequency or a phase issue you can't hear.
