Posted By: D__ How to save a style I create or manipulate? - 03/16/18 09:34 PM
Im on a mac with the 2017 version
Googling around I understood I could start from any style (including the MIDI only) add real tracks and save them with a name according to BIAB Specs and reuse it with other songs.
However when I save the modified style from File > Style Maker > Save Style aS .... I only get a copy with the new name of the original BIAB style.
I obviously misread or misunderstood Google.
Is there a way to modify or even riassemble a style?
I tried to duplicate a Style with real tracks, changed the name, then after opening it change the instruments the tempo and more, but the results are the same. Nothing gets saved and my duplicate style is just like the original
Any hints?
Thanks
Hi D,

Sorry, there's currently no way to do save modified styles in the Mac version. I'll be happy to pass along a request though.

Thanks

You can in the 2018 Mac version using the style picker and the custom button on the bottom left
it updates what you have changed on the tracks from the original style and you can save it as a new style

(Although this video uses Band-in-a-Box® 2018 for Windows version, all of the functions are applicable to the Mac version!)

StylePicker: Within Band-in-a-Box®, this feature lists all styles with full information. It has a great filter feature for finding a perfect style for your song by selecting elements such as time signature, feel or tempo or by simply typing in a familiar song title.
