Impact Soundworks has released Shreddage 3 Stratus Free. It's got about 90% of the full engine features and some great tones:



The caveat: if you don't have the full version of Kontakt, it'll time out every 15 minutes. So just reload it and keep rocking on.

Pretty interesting. It forced me to download the Kontakt Player after all this time. Those freebies have some sweet samples.

The Street Kit drums are insane. I am going to be going crazy with that.

The Strat is cool, but it is showing me in "demo" mode with a red bar at the top in the player. Is that normal?

It takes a long time to load but the sounds are cool. I can see making use of this somehow.

Ooops, I think I got it. To make that go away I have to pay $399!

I am so sick and tired of all this cool free software that I don't have to pay for that I can use to have a lot of fun and make music that does not live up to my demanding and exacting specifications for freeware!
