I'm trying to record my fiddle in an audio track of BIAB song I created. About every third recording, I get the error message "Could Not Prepare Wav in Header" and BIAB locks up and I have to use Task Manager to shut down. Any ideas what is causing this? Thanks in advance!

Gary524,

Is your computer using the same hard drive to load and play the song as well as record your audio input? If so it is possible the computer is so busy managing the hard drive it is not able to keep up.

Try changing the buffer settings for your audio interface, switching the audio interface driver selection to a different setting (in other words if you have ASIO selected then change to MME or ASPI).

Last perform some storage drive maintenance (defrag or trim, delete temp files, etc.) so the computer won't have to work as hard.

Thanks, Jim,

I haven't found an option yet to choose which drivie BIAB records to. Likewise, haven't found where to set the buffer for the audio interface. Sorry...a bit of a newb here.
