Hello

I'm a new user and member of this forum and would appreciate some help.

I play in a jazz improvisation workshop and we use BIAB for our backing tracks. We normally loop the tunes 10 or 15 times so that each of our members gets a chance to improvise to the music.

We start by playing the tune, then each member will improvise through however many loops and then we end with the tune.

The problem comes when we want to end the music - currently our leader just hits the stop button at the opportune place but this makes the tune end very abruptly. We don't want to play to a set number of loops and we'd like to be able to press a button that tells the software that this is the last loop and then the tune runs to the tag at the end - is there such a function in BIAB? I'm running the 2019 version.

I've searched for tutorials etc but can't find the solution.

Many thanks, Mel

I think I have a solution
I don't do it in BIAB.
Truthfully, I don't know how to do it in BIAB.

I do use BIAB to create all my tracks.
I export .WAV or .MP3 files from BIAB.

I use Anytune Pro for performance. It has a variety of features you may like.
The looping part is what you use to control the number of chorus's played.

Here's a 2 minute presentation that provides the gist of the approach.

The bluetooth pedal the presenter describes works great but I don't think its absolutely required.
It makes it a lot easier. I for other features also.

Its not a BIAB solution but it works on IOS or Mac.
I use either a tablet or my iphone. Both work great.
I don't have to bring a Laptop to the gigs.

It may not prove satisfactory to your needs but I believe it will accomplish your objective.
