Working on some guitar tracks and in need of a decent guitar amp simulator (and preferrably some nice effects), I stumbled upon this great plugin: http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?plugin=Free_Amp_3&id=580

It hasn't been highly rated (but it should be!), but it has the lushest chorus I've heard in a long time. The rest is not bad either. Maybe the looks are not so great, but enjoyed it.

Any other free, 32 bit plugins for guitar?

Njoy!
I don't let BIAB install it anymore but BIAB comes with a free version of AmpliTube 3 which is 32 bit. I don't let installer install it because I already have full versions of older AmpliTube 3 and newer AmpliTube 4.

I just ran the BIAB installer and verified that Amplitube free is in the list of things you can install (or not). The free version has some more than a few basic amp rigs and a good cross section of FX like chorus, compressor, delay etc.

You will need to set up an IK Multimedia account to get it authorized after installing it (I think) and you made need to contact PG to get a Serial Number for it so you can authorize it, it has been a long time since I installed any of the free IK Multimedia stuff.

Good luck

I like FA_3 too, and keep it in the list to this day.
It's not famous mainly because it has its quirks sometimes. Can be buggy.
There is also a FA Standard Edition (FA_SE) that has it's own quirks, and again is more stable on some systems than others.
It's a little different and adds to the sound options. (image below)

Another older 32 bit one is Voxengo Boogex. It's more amp, not effects.

The Amplitube Larry mentioned is nice, but I get tired of the registration routine from IK.

I built this machine recently and am still adding previously saved VSTs to RB. Next time I'm doing so I'll keep an eye out for others.

Amplitube is great, no discussion here.

Tried the Boogex... how neat is this? Great tip, thx

look for the ACME BAR GIG plug. It might be 32 bit.... It used to be a cool VST I used on occasion....and it's got a free version.
Have you checked out any of these sites?
