Gentleman talks about various methods, but also mentioned a program that stops many Windows "spying" processes: Shut Up Windows. I thought it was a clever little program. BTW, free for personal use:

That's a nice anti-spy tool. I like the software from that company, O&O.

If the subject of Latency is of interest, and it should be, LatencyMon is an effective tool. Or, one can download the free utility DPC Latency Checker. It has great instructions. It says it is not updated for Windows 10 but it works fine; just consider 1000 to be zero.

One other note: do not download Snappy Driver Installer, a program used in the video. It is widely reported to have malware. Get your updated drivers directly from vendors.
