I have a MP3 recording of me singing and playing guitar. Is it possible to import the
MP3 into BIAB then try to add drum, piano, etc. accompaniment using the styles, then exporting all the
tracks back to MP3? I recently purchased Fruity Loops DAW and have figured out how to use the BIAB DAW
plugin, but being a newbie to recording software I have no idea if my project is just a pipe dream or something
doable using BIAB and/or the DAW. I did find out how to import the MP3 and then have BIAB figure out the chord progressions and place them into a bar by bar window, but that window doesn't look anything like the window where you enter the chords manually.Don't know to take it from there. I know tempo will be a problem as my
mp3 guitar playing jumps up and down from 98 to 102 BPM in the course of the song. Maybe there's a BIAB (or 3rd party) add on wizard I need to purchase?

Hi Sandy,

It's definitely possible to do that.

To be honest, rather than use the plugin, I'd choose to do this in BIAB. The below video shows how it's done.

i did exactly the same in RealBand. it's perfectly possible to create a click track to standardize the timing

google Band in a box 2016 for windows new features (its on you tube) and watch the section from about 37 minutes 40 seconds in. this facility has been in RB for the past five years.

then once you have the time, key, chords and everything sorted just add Real Tracks as normal.

it may well be possible in BIAB but i find RB so much easier to use - everything is in front of you - not hidden like BIAB
