I have started using an online collaboration tool. It has a free version as well as different levels "Pro" versions.
We have quite a few people in the User Showcase forum that collaborate with other members.
I would suggest if you do collaborate have a look at this tool.
You create a free account, download the plugin vst,aax etc and add it to your mixbuss. You can bounce a mix and upload it to your project folder on mixup.audio. You can have multiple versions of any project. Upload your stems and invite users to view and or download the mixes or stems. You can upload HD files and there is no compression on the remote site. You can level match the versions. If you make changes and upload a new version the people you have invited will get an email notice. The versions will play in any browser.
