I want to use BIAB, RealBand etc import an MP3 file, create a count in that is in synch with the song and record a Bass Tablature that I can then use to synch with a video that I will upload to Youtube. Is this possible? Don't these products record MIDI with the ability to provide the musical notation?

In the notation window options you can set the track to Bass and set it to display Tab. This should show the notation and tab of the recorded midi.
