Can we have generic (auto) pitch correction?
Don't other packages have the feature where if I record an audio track (monotonal) that this feature could "quantize" the pitch (within a configurable %)?

Example - I record a horn part and a few notes are a few cents off.
This feature will simply correct those notes that are a certain % away from perfect pitch.

Simple, right? I know there's the TC Helicon but you have to have a MIDI track. Well, I don't have one of course, I have AUDIO ONLY.

You already have some algorithms written to convert Audio to Pitch. Can't you use this code and go one step further to run the pitch correction algorithm on just that "note."

Thanks,

John

In the mean time here's a quick workaround method

Without a MIDI track the TCHelicon will use the chord sheet.
Just enter the chord (scale) you want to correct to in the chord window and it should work.

Find section with offending notes
Enter chords in chord window for that section
Highlight section
Open TC Helicon and pay close attention to options
Process that section

There are other free options available, too, like GSNAP.
