I grew up on this stuff, so definitely biased, but if Gordon Johnson is is in the replies on YouTube (and commenting favorably on Gary King's bass), I give that more than a little credit. <grin>

Colby had a sound and style that stuck with me.
How he 'chipped' at notes and then bent them wherever he wanted was impressive.
