I have never heard it, thanks for sharing I loved it!
I too had never heard this song before - or at least if I did, I don't recall. A brilliant tune though! Very, very pretty and calming. Thanks for sharing this smile

Hi Camp,Deryk,
Yeah this is a real Irish one, when ever we hear the first 2 notes on the banjo we know whats coming next ...sweet sixteen.Maybe we should put it down for a new BIAB style.!

The Fureys

When first I saw the love-light in your eyes,
I dreamed the world held not but joy for me.
And even though we drifted far apart,
I never dream but what I dream of thee.
I love you as I never loved before,
Since first I met you on the village green.

Come to me or my dream of love and ore,
I love you as I loved you, when you were sweet,
When you were sweet sixteen.
I love you as I never loved before,
Since first I met you on the village green.
Come to me or my dreams of love and ore . . .

I love you as I loved you, when you were sweet,
When you were sweet sixteen.

Songwriters: James Thornton
