Hi the team,

Some styles are removed from one biab version to another. Why ?
I wanted to use the _darkage style and found that it was gone. It must have a reason and I would like to know it. Does it link to copywright rights ? Another question. can we use the Biab styles demos to market a composition from this demo. Thank you for your reply.

Band-in-a-Box demo songs are copyrighted by PG Music so you would want to treat them just as you would any copyrighted song.

I'm not understanding what you mean to say when you say,

. Please rephrase your question. I think my confusion is caused by how you are using the work "version".
Hi Jim,

First of all thank you for passing on my post.

My question is whether all demos that are associated with Biab styles are free (as is the case with styles) of copyright in the event that songs developed from these style demos are marketed.

Demo audio files are copyrighted by PG Music. My guess is the SGU files used to create the audio files are also copyrighted.

While you can't directly use a demo audio file or demo SGU file in your song project you can study the SGU file to learn song building techniques and then use what you've learned in your song file. Also, just as a great song like House of the Rising Sun can inspire similar tunes.

I hope that helped answer your question. I'm sure others will offer their opinion.

Hi Jim,

Thank you for the info and have a nice day i

Is the _darkage style one you made as I don't have that in the list.
You can create any song of your own from these styles and use them any way you like. You need to do a full rebuild for 3rd party users styles to show.
