Yes I know this is just another 'jazzer' request of no importance to the majority here but it would be a very welcome and long awaited addition.

There are still important 3 note quartal chords missing from the database for which there are no adequate workarounds : We currently have C4 which is C,F,Bb but logically you should also have C4Maj (C,F,B) and C4Lyd (CF#B).

This would allow a more consistent 4th based bass and piano comping without having to rely on a particular style to achieve it.

It's to do with BIAB being set up diatonically rather than modally or chromatically when dealing with harmony. It surely wouldn't be a big ask to fix.

There was recently another forum user who was disappointed BIAB doesn't support these.

Yes there are 2 links, you can fake it out sometimes
by using d/Gsus for dorian or a/gsus for aoliean , etc
harmonic minor or melodic minor is not supported in 4th

(And certainly a feature not just for Jazz)

For the C4maj (C,F,B) I use F5b/C. It gives you an extra note you don't want though as does using the G7/C option as a workaround.
I take your point about assigning scales to the chords. Once you start using inversions like B7susb5 for the Locrian chord you wind up with embellishments that don't belong because BIAB treats every dominant as if its a V chord.
