This forum must be the only forum I've ever used where I don't get notified of replies to my own posts unless I specifically ask for it. Most forums don't even ask, they just assume you want to be notified of responses to any conversation you take part in by default. So when I was getting started on here t took me at least a week of posting before I realised this wasn't the case with this dodgy forum. And I know many a newcomer will say the same (those who didn't just leave straight off since it looked like they weren't getting any responses).

Honestly, this shouldn't even need saying!

p.s. oh, and while I'm on the subject, that "Watch forum" thing just doesn't work at all, and trying to "Stop watching" a forum (not post, forum) gives you an error message ("File not found: scripts/editnotify.inc.php"), so that obviously doesn't work either.

I kind of like the peace and quiet here, but I suppose you are right.

Well, of course you should still be able to turn the ruddy thing OFF too
I just think it should be easier than not for you to follow responses to your own posts.

If the feature is there it should operate correctly
