When using the standard (i.e. the oldest) way to render to audio, there never occurs any "File exists, override?" in the process if applicable, like it e.g. does with the Save As function. This is a potential trip hazard, and a completely unnecessary one at that.
I'm actually a bit amazed I haven't noticed more complaints about lost tracks due to this around here over the years
