I still wish for a minutes and seconds COUNTER on the GUI which would reveal amount of time into a playing song, so that we can quickly tell that the second chorus is starting at the 48 second mark, or whatever.

I have learned to get by without it, but I often wish it was available... even as a separate palette (like Big Lyrics, the Guitar or Big Piano). Then it could be used by those who want it and ignored by those who don't.

I agree, that would be pretty useful. Also to know how long a song will be before exporting. This is an advantage of using the Band-in-a-Box plugin in a DAW, since they usually have some sort of counter. Using Band-in-a-Box in combination with RealBand is another workaround if you are a Windows user too, or with Garageband if you are a Mac user.
