While watching a few tutorial videos I feel that it might be a good idea to have a choice of the existing bar highlighted, or a cursor moving across the bar, maybe with the ability to customise a bit, narrow wide or normal.

Yes! Pipeline something like that would be great, I think it would make a lot more users including myself more aware of what's going on in the actual beat, rather than just looking at the bar, a visual representation such as yours would be a great help.

I like that too. I suspect those using BIAB for live performance would find it easier to know where you are at a glance.

Same when selecting selections to Gen/Regen if you could selects by beats as you can in Audio Edit.

Definitely a great presentation method.
