Take a look first at what BIAB for Windows already has: Window menu, MIDI Chord Detection.

I didn't set it up successfully. My options are different from yours

You can use Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth or a DXi like Coyote WT, Cakewalk TTS-1 or a VST like VstSynthFont

Has Biab officially noticed this suggestion?
hope to support

Look at RapidComposer as you are trying it now, they will drag in:

I hope BIAB officially adds a keyboard
Posted By: AudioTrack Re: Chord builder keyboard - 04/03/22 08:20 AM
Yes, it would be a good feature, as has previously been suggested.

Some careful processing would be required to interpret variations in chord inversions.
Posted By: Matt Finley Re: Chord builder keyboard - 04/03/22 02:48 PM
Oh yes, we've been over this. I would love to see a virtual keyboard added to the feature BIAB already has, MIDI Chord Detection, for the reason Audiotrack cites: this feature gives you four choices when the chord spelling is ambiguous.

Yes, I was afraid that the official did not notice, so I repeated the reminder. Ha ha

I'm pretty sure they know about the suggestion. If and when it gets implemented is something that only time will tell. But we can always be positive and hope for its delivery.

I'm afraid you guys forget this feature. So let me say it again.

We are only end-users, like yourself. We cannot make this feature happen. However, I would be fairly sure that the developers know about the request.
Posted By: Matt Finley Re: Chord builder keyboard - 04/22/22 09:59 AM
As above.

Assuming PG Music agrees that this is a good idea, the earliest we might see it would be in BIAB 2023 at the end of this year.

In addition to this, I really like how Sundog Studio presents chords in the key and scale that you choose, giving you coded options of chords in the scale which you can audition by clicking on them:

https://rekkerd.org/feelyoursound-updates-sundog-scale-studio-to-v2-4-0/

Something like this would be quite handy as a floating window that could be opened in BIAB.
