I'm a creature of habit, and I'm still not used to having to select the track before changing the instrument. I frequently change instruments with MIDI tracks and I still find myself being puzzled why another track other than the intended one got the edit I was after.

Was it really necessary to add this "feature?" To me, it is a PITA and I'd really like to go back to the way it was before.

I’m not following this. Please elaborate, as to how you are changing the patch, and how BiaB is supposed to know what track you want changed?
