I use the "ACW Equalize Tempo" function a lot when it comes to reuse old live recordings as a base for further elaborating the song idea or doing some rework on old live recordings with my old band.

It would be extremely useful if the "Equalize Tempo" function could be limited to a certain selected area of the song instead of the entire song.

Very often I have some intro or ritardando parts in the song that require a different treatment. A limitation of the equalize tempo function to a particular marked area of the song would really help a lot to get the job done.

Maybe such a function is hidden somewhere and I have not found it. If such a function does not exist in Biab yet, I would really appreciate to have it. It would make my life so much easier and it shouldn't technically be too hard to be implemented in Biab, as the main "tempo equalize" function already exists. It should just be restricted to a particular area of the song.

I've run into the same problem.
If there isn't a current solution,
+1 for Roland's idea!

RolandS,
Glad to hear the equalize tempo is working out for you. We’ve added that select range) to the to-do list

Hello Team

I do have a question about this function:

The use case that I import multitrack audios as several STEMs (Drum track, Bass track, Piano track...) into band in a box and want to equalize the tempo of all the STEMs (Audio tracks)
But it seems that this function is just applied to the audio track which I used in the ACW, but not on the other audio tracks (STEMs). So thy are out of sync after this operation.

Is there a way to apply this as a "global" function or am I doing it wrong?

If you load the Drum track in RealBand then run the ACW on it and this will give you a tempo map then you can generate up a midi metronome track,
export this midi track to a DAW then drag all the Stems into the DAW
now render each Stem with embedded tempo (acid)
now if you import them into Biab they should fit the constant tempo.
EDIT: actually you can stay in RealBand, just drag all the other Stems in RealBand after you have run the ACW on the Drums then RealBand can add acid tempo info when exporting each Stem.

Hello musocity

Thanks for your quick and solid response.
Actually I de composite the STEMs via Spectral Layers to make backing tracks.

So I have to go via my DAW (Cubase) and fix the Tempo of the STEMs there which of course is also possible.

Maybe a useful feature for the Biab in future to add an "apply all equalize tempo" button smile

Thanks
Robert
