dedicated forumites might remember me posting about not getting update 1903 as my PC 'was not quite ready for it yet' as the update screen put it.

yesterday the update screen said 1909 was waiting for me. all went well but it killed my soundblaster audigy 2 ZS - see separate post.

i think the 'not ready for it' means that the creative driver wasn't compatible but Micfrosoft wouldn't let me skip two updates.

see my post above on the behringer interface - the soundblaster is now working - but i don't know why!

I'm surprised the Soundblaster is still going. What model?

as i said in the other post below i thought you'd be surprised! its the audigy 2 zs platinum

in the other post i go into more detail (the one about my behringer interface) but i did absolutely nothing. it wasn't working despite an internet fix that mario suggested which i had already tried and which hadn't seemed to work.

the card wasn't producing sound but now it is.

no idea why................
