Still very much getting to grips with the software, but my latest issues is with recording audio. It seems to record fine, but the play back is so slowed down, it sounds like a message from Satan himself. I haven't actually even discovered yet how to speed up or slow down a track separately, so I don't think its anything I have messed with. Just to compound it, it doesn't happen all the time, it's somewhat random.

check your sample rates under settings.

You should have 44.1/16 or 44.1/24 as the settings.

Thanks mate; I had found it by accident earlier. It was my M-Track interface which is 48. I have changed that to 44 and all is well so far. Still not sure why it worked OK and sometimes it didn't, but i'm not complaining :-)

Make sure you know how to control the sample rate, or it will flip depending on the input signal.

If you had recorded at 48KHz but played back at 44.1, then it would sound a step and a quarter low, and slower.

Thanks Matt. That makes a lot more sense than it would have done a week ago.
