PG Music Home

I don't have the Edit / Chords / Search Replace feature in my newly upgraded BIAB for Mac 2019. There's certainly not much info regarding this on the web, nor could I find anything about it on the manual. As far as I could tell based on a google search and some video results that the feature should be available on all new and old versions of BIAB (through 2014). I thought I needed to upgrade my version for it (I had 2014), so I did, I still can't find it. I chatted on the PG Music live help, and the help personnel said they were also not able to find the feature in 2018, and 2019 versions of BIAB for Mac, but was not able to confirm that this feature was not meant to be available for BIAB for Mac 2019.

Based on the fact thatIs there some way to confirm officially that this feature is not yet available for BIAB Mac 2019.

Also, what the heck? I think it should be clear whether the feature is available or not.

What I mean by this is that it seems to be misleading marketing there's no clear indication that the feature is only available on the windows version. From everything I could tell, there was no distinction between the versions regarding this feature.
Ballpark, Welcome.

You may get better viewing of your particular issue by Mac users, in the BiaB for Mac forum pages.
Thanks @VideoTrack, I just reposted here: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=580575&#Post580575
I must disagree with VideoTrack on his assessment there, for doing that is just preaching to the choir, or at any rate not telling any of us something we didn't know already wink

No, by all means, getting the PC lot to notice and acknowledge, that's the path to getting this issue sorted (of which the above is just one example of still far too many!).

EDIT: ps to the OP: The short answer: You won't find it because it's not there.

It's unusual that a person with your extensive experience would make that comment, Eddie. I have no idea why.

This particular forum page is for "Off Topic" help. The forum heading actually states: "Note: This is an "Off-Topic" help forum. For assistance with Band-in-a-Box and other PG Music Products, you should post on the appropriate "PG Music Product forum".

It provides many examples of the type of item to post on this page. None of them are related to PG Music products.

My sole intention was to guide a new user with the most appropriate location to get the required "On Topic" assistance they sought. The O/P even thanked me for my reply.

I certainly wasn't "preaching to the choir" as you have unhelpfully suggested.

As for "not telling any of us something we didn't know already", perhaps it is you that doesn't know what this particular forum is intended to be used for.
Then let me try be more clear: I never suggested that this forum would be the right place for his topic, I only maintain that the Mac forum (as suggested) would not be the right place for it either.
His core statements all went towards the issue of things missing from the Mac - note, not "broken", or "not working" or any other such thing for which that forum might indeed be the best fit, but MISSING - a fundamental distinction that must be made and understood here.
As for the preaching to the choir (or not telling us anything we didn't know already), I mainly had his last line of complaint in mind there, the train of thought being: If he takes that line into the Mac forum (as suggested), then all he'll be met with is a big, fat "Yes, we know, we've been saying that same thing for years".
Yes, now I see what you mean. He posted his question on the Mac forum on February 13, and there was not a single reply from any of the Mac people until March 18, which was an almost cryptic one-liner from yourself. So much for the support being provided to fellow users by the Mac group. I would have expected that at least some Mac user could have easily advised that the function didn't yet exist in the Mac product. Definitely the Windows people are far more interactive in that regard.

If nothing else, there are a lot more of them here.
Not to labor the point, but surely some Mac users already knew that answer. Five weeks is a long time to wait for a response. I'm happy more than ever now that I run Windows. It's my personal choice, just the same as everyone else. Windows has more features and I'll stick with it smile .

Oh man, you should've quit while ahead. For this kind of gloating (not to mention the inferred "you chose to wear that dress in that neighbourhood" subtext) is definitely not 'helpful' whistle

And as for the apparent lack of our member's interactions, it must be observed that we've only just had a new release of the program out, which in return meant beta phase. So in this particular case (on top of being fewer in numbers to begin with), many if not most of the more forum-active of us have been quite preoccupied with that and it's just an unfortunate timing.
