it's called factory image. as this pc was originally windows 7 and has been upgraded to windows 10 is the factory image any use at all or just taking up space?

if i can safely delete it how do i go about it?

Without seeing the contents (file list) of the drive, we wouldn't have any idea if it's safe to do so. A screenshot from Computer Management--> Disk Management would be good too.
