I just installed BB2017 and when I punch in a simple 12 bar set of cords. (Key of "C") and play the song the cords are not the same as my Guitar. They sound a few steps above the BB song. What am I doing wrong.
Are you tuning your guitar to A-440 or some other reference source?
If you tune the guitar dead on to A-440, the keys should match perfectly.
Double check your tuning to be safe, but it isn't likely to be off several steps. If you are at 440, the chord being played by Biab should be a perfect match on the guitar.
Also.... you might want to check your settings.
Check the driver that you're using.... and in the BB/RB preferences/settings.... be sure you have selected the following audio settings
16/44.1k bit and sample rate OR.... 24/44.1k either one is good.
If the sample rate is not set properly, it can result in pitch changes as well under some circumstances on playback if the music was recorded at a different sample rate.
Also check to make sure you do not have the Capo feature of BIAB activated - meaning that you did not set it up a couple of frets - should read as "No Capo".
You might also have a transposition setting in effect. If you are unsure about BIAB settings, do Option, Return to Factory Settings. If it's the wrong sample rate, you will be off pitch by about 3 half steps.
