I have a song in 4/4 but, I need to make the last measure before a return only 2 beats long.

I've alter the "beats in this measure" to 2 but, then it changes all downstream measure to that as well.

I just need ONE measure in 2/4.

On that of that, how do I make an entire song in 2/4 time?

Tom, I assume you used F5 (bar settings) to change the beats of that measure to 2. You are correct, every measure after will be 2, so go to the first measure (or the measure the repeat goes back to) and use F5 to set that measure to 4 beats.

To make an entire song 2/4, do the F5 in the first measure, then experiment to find an appropriate style.

Tom, as described, setting the beats to 2 at a specific bar changes the song from that point onwards.

Just go to the following bar and repeat the procedure, this time setting the beats back to 4.

Presumably you are using Bar Settings (F5) to do this.
