When I have a note that is slurred so that it covers two bars, for example in 3/4 time, I enter staff role notation mode but the maximum length I can make the note is 5 beats not six. I enter a different note on the third bar but the c note stops after the second beat of the second bar.

BiaB generally inserts a longer note than anticipated until ether a shorter note or a rest is inserted.

Have a look at this post and see if it helps you in some way.

There are a several ways to do this, but an easy way is you can right click on the note and extend its duration (in editable notation mode) or just drag the note longer in piano roll mode.
