Hi there
Im new to this forum, and also to Biab. I don't know how to see tabs?
I have made a 12 bar blues, and set the style to texas blues rock shuffle.
Cant i see the tabs for the guitar playing the rhythm? or the bass?
when i press the notation or the lead sheet there are only normal notation.
Please help!
Hi Nicky,
Welcome to the forums.
If you follow the 1,2,3,4 on the image below, you'll set tab notation. It will then be displayed.
Regards,
Noel
Sorry!
I don't have notation under preferences? Is there another way?
Hi again
Now I have the tabs
But it looks like this????
What can I do?
how can I make the tabs something useful?
I don't read treble clef all that well. (I play bass hand bells in a church choir so I am better at the bass clef.)
I do say that the timing on that piece is challenging. There are triplets and rests throughout. Timing-wise the notes are easier to read.
2nd measure: 1+2+ 3 triplet 4 triplet is how I would count it.
1 beat is a rest. Beat 2 is a dotted note so it would be counted 2 + with a tie which would allow the notes in 2 to ring into beat 3. The triplets are 3 and 4. (Noted by the 3 above the lines.)
Probably I am not that much help. Someone else - how close am I??? How accurate is the tab?

Hi DSM
Thank you.
Its not so much about the timing, its more about the tabs. try look at it. It is way to high op the neck. fret 24??? i only have 22 on my strat:-) and we are talking chords with some fills, and i can hear that it is much lower un the neck.
I'm not sure if I'm on the right track for what you are trying to find, but does this help:
I did not see that. My first instrument is banjo so it didn't register to me that those notes were way way up the neck.

Hi NickyD, I see you are on a Mac and there are differences between Mac and PC versions. You may want to post this in the Mac forums if you already haven't.
From what I see you have the guitar listed but your tabs are for 4 strings, so you have your tabs set to a 4 string instrument like a uke or mandolin. You must search and find where you can change your tab notation. Unfortunately I do not have a Mac so I can't be of any assistance.
Thank you Mario. I will try on the mac forum.
