I'm still very much still getting acquainted with Band in a Box. I've made a few backing tracks and built lyrics on a couple on the PC, but would like to be able to have both chords and lyrics on display from my ipad and iphone (I want to sing along with my dobro). I've successfully used the Band in a Box app, but it doesn't appear to show lyrics. Can anyone recommend an app that works well at displaying both chords and lyrics with the backing track?

Thanks for any help.

Render it to Video, convert to mp4 if on Win and adjust the size of the bar base lyric layer by right click chord sheet > Display Options

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

Just to follow up, I toyed around with this last night. I had some success creating a video and porting it to my iphone using VLC, which has a pretty nice feature on the app to transfer from a desktop to the app. I just need to play with the settings to find a good looking video sized well for both the iphone and ipad. I'm suspicious I'll need to create two different videos to find a view that looks decent for both, but I may find a setting that works on one.

I don't know if VLC is the best long term solution, but it works for now. I'll keep searching for better options on this front.

I'll be glad to post what I learn to help somebody else down the road. If anybody else has any suggestions, I'd welcome them. Thanks for the help.

I'm trying to strike a balance between how much time I spend learning and working the software vs time spent on the music. It's a delicate balance indeed!

I've been using BIAB live for jazz guitar instrumental gigs in restaurants for years with no problems. Way back then (last time was late January) I probably overdid sound quality (QSC's etc.) but it was all fun, the restaurants were close by and I enjoyed it all. I really got use to following the changes on BIAB for improvising. But, looks like for the time-being what little "playing out" I'll be doing will be in backyards for friends and neighbors so I needed to simplify and downsize my rig. Converting BIAB to AVI's just takes one click and I found HANDBRAKE , a free AVI to ".m4v" converter which converted all the AVI's to m4v's as a batch. The .m4v's run just fine on Android, I can blue-tooth from phone/tablet to whatever amp is convenient and even my tired-old-eyes can easily see the animated BIAB chord-sheet on my phone and tablet. Pretty darned slick.

As I was doing this seems like I remember this being discussed here on the forum sometime in the distant past, so thanks again for the tip. Very good solution.
