Greetings all...

I am trying to change to a MIDI instrument to replace a BIAB assigned instrument in a style using the "use higher bank" option. But I'm not having any luck so far. Here's what I'm trying to do.

Just for an example, I will try to change BIAB assigned bass to a Ketron bass which is MIDI. To do so, I:

Right click on "bass" - at the top

Click on "Select MIDI Instrument (patch)

Click on "Select Higher Bank (from PAT file)

Click on "KETRON_sd2.PAT in the PAT file list.

The Ketron patches appear in the patches list... along with the GM patches.

I select a Ketron bass patch from the list and then click OK.

On the bass track in the mixer, nothing changes. When I play the song, the Ketron isn't being used.

I'm hoping that someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong or what I'm missing.

And as always, so much appreciated.

/Bobby

If the Ketron isn't being used at all, make sure that the internal VSTi setting is unchecked (and that you have selected the correct MIDI output driver that the Ketron is using).

You didn't mention which Ketron device you're using. If it is a SD2, SD4 or SD1000 make sure you downloaded and installed the correct patch map from +++ HERE +++

If it is a different Ketron unit you will need to create a patch map specific for your device. The easiest way to do that is to download one of the Ketron patch maps and use a text editor like Notepad to modify the downloaded patch map to work with your device.
