Hi,

I'm having a problem. The chord quality part of my Roman Numeral display is really tiny in the notation view and on printed sheets.

It looks OK on the Chord Sheet view.

My goal is to have the Notation view and the printouts be readable ala the Chord Sheet view wrt. chord quality part of the chord.

IOW, I need a larger font for the chord quality part of the chords in the Notation view and the printouts.

How exactly can I accomplish this?

Hi,

Try this...

1. right-click on the chordsheet

2. choose "Display Options"

3. set the "Superscript" options to "Never"

Noel

Thank you for your reply.

I tried that, but to no avail.

Does it work for you?
Not with Roman numerals. The printout looks to have problems with chord extension information very small and not aligned well.

I agree that something doesn't seem right.

I'll pass the link to this thread on to the development team.

Thanks very much!
Try a different font in the Notation Windows Options. Choosing e.g. 'Jazz Symbols' as Chord font might get you to second base.

Hi. Does that work for you? If so, could you post a picture?

I see no change in the problem here regardless of selected fonts.

Noel did as promised. Lets see what they have to say about this.
This is a result with Jazz Symbols compared to RealScore as Chord Font - the print feature definitely needs some attention.

Thanks for the pictures!

I agree that the top one is readable.

What exactly are these pictures of though?

Are we seeing the display that comes from the OK - Preview/Graphics button in the Print Options (Ctrl-P) dialog?:

Sure would make a nice exercise checking this one out on your own . . .

Spoiler -> answer likely is 'yes'

No reason to assume I had not.

In fact I already had, hence the question. (In my case, you can count on that.)

Simply changing to the Jazz Chord Symbols font did not give me your top (readable) display, unfortunately.

Extra details on exactly what you changed and where are welcome if you care to provide them.

An alternative would be to post a file from 'Save scheme' in the display options dialog. It should be impossible for me to load your scheme and not see what you see. (At least that's the theory!)

The Display Options dialog’s Chordsheet Font drop down selection box affects the appearance of chord symbols in the Chordsheet – it does not affect the appearance of chord symbols in the Notation window.

The route via the Notation Window Options dialog gets you to second base.

Excellent.

Those settings let me print what i need to see.

Thank you very much Martin!
