Hi I'm a new user so forgive me if I ask stupid questions.

I have an afro-Peruvian ethnic song and I am unable to find a proper style to use (nothing matches). As I understand it, I can possibly use the WAV music track but how I do I get the style? Can I create my own style from the original WAV music track? Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

There are a few possibilities here, and I'll mention one. In the style picker window, you can search for the name of a style or the name of a song that may be popular that uses this style. The program will make some recommendations if it has knowledge of that style or that song.

The selection of available styles depends on which 'pak' version of the program you purchased.

The cheaper options have less material available to select from.

Welcome to the forums also.

Quite another nifty route would be creating a suitable style based on some midi renderings of your afro-Peruvian ethnic song. Check out the Style Creation Wizard - this nifty wizard may create remarkably authentical styles.

Thanks everybody. I think I'll try Martin's route first. Thanks again.
