I now know that it is necessary to map the channel of the VST plugin managing the midi instrument to the channel used by BIAB.

For standard instruments, with BIAB 2021, we have the chanels table which indicates the channels used by BIAB.

But unless I'm mistaken, this table does not provide info for utility tracks.

Hence my question: how do I get the channel assigned to a utility track containing a midi instrument?

This should help...

Follow the 1, 2, 3 on the image below to change MIDI channels. The process is achieved by working through the Default Synth or VST Plugin.
