Forgive a novice question. I could not find this question in my search.

How does one remove a single instrument form a style track? If I want to remove the piano from a style, how would I do that?

TIA.

Hi Kenny,

Welcome to the forums.

The easiest way is to slide the volume of the piano down to zero. Since volume settings are saved, this effectively removes the piano. (Whether or not the piano is present in the style doesn't impact particularly on the size of the BIAB songfile. These are typically just a mere 20-30 kB.)

The Piano track could also be muted to achieve the same effect. In BIAB 2021, mute settings are also saved with the song.

Lastly, if you follow the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the image below. This will remove the piano permanently. If you choose to use this method, take care that you don't over-write PG Music's demo song file for this particular style.

Regards,
Noel
