I'm not sure if this question is in the right place.

I have worked out hot to transfer tracks from BIAB to Cakewalk, but how do I transfer the other way round?

You could try going to Realband instead, it would be easier.

You really can't go back to BiaB without losing stuff.

Both Cakewalk and Band-in-a-Box can work with MIDI and audio files so either MIDI or audio can be transferred between the two programs.

In Cakewalk highlight one or more MIDI tracks. Export the MIDI tracks as one MID file. Import the MID file into Band-in-a-Box. Band-in-a-Box will place the MIDI tracks onto the Melody track. Use the Melody track's MIDI sequencer to split the data back into tracks and move the tracks to other tracks as desired.

In Cakewalk highlight one or more audio tracks. Export one audio track as a 16 bit depth / 44.1k sample rate audio file. If two or more audio tracks are selected then they will export as one stereo 16 bit rate / 44.1k sample rate audio file. The audio file can be imported into either the Audio track or any of the Utility Tracks in Band-in-a-Box.
